The four Grammar classes at Grace Academy are co-requisites for all four of the intermediate Classical Writing classes (Classical Writing I, II, III, and IV) and if necessary, the Grammar IV class may be used for an entering Rhetoric-level pupil who has need of an intensive review or remediation concurrent with their other studies.
Each class takes place once per week, with home assignments to complete in between, and are an essential complement to every pupil’s language study, both in English and in Latin. Grammar I uses the Complete Book of Whole Diagrams by Mary Daly, as well as the Abeka curriculum’s God’s Gift of Language (B level). The Grammar II and III classes use the subsequent levels (Language C, and Lainguage and Composition I) and then the final Grammar IV class uses Cindy Vitto’s Grammar By Diagram.
