History IV

This final dialectic-level history course will cover the time period from about 1850 to the present-day, concluding the first four-year history cycle offered at Grace Academy. At this point in their studies, we expect the pupils to be able to not only learn the facts about people and events, but to be more and more active in thinking about and analyzing what they are learning, placing that knowledge into a developing framework of a Biblical worldview, and beginning to synthesize and integrate it across subjects, over years, and within classes. This year also, will include a significant amount of American history and culture, while continuing to emphasize the broader Western and world developments.
